Overview:

Intro to Photography, listed as Media Arts 2 is a required for AP Photography. This class will focus on learning the technical setting of a camera. The use of lighting effects and specific times of day that effect color. Macro photography will be developed. Lessons will be done weekly. The first day of the week we meet we will have a lecture and demonstration of techniques. The rest of the week students will be in studio refining the methods I have discussed. You will not have to purchase a DSLR camera for this course. There is one to use in the classroom, which we will use a few times during the semester. Most cellphone cameras are competent enough for this class. You may have to download apps and software in the class. This is separate from the art lab fee.
